About Us
We consider ourselves “Youngish Democrats”, Our goal is to create a social forum for democrats in the east bay, centered in Contra Costa County.
Consider joining if you ever:
- Consider yourself a part of Gen X
- Made someone a mix tape
- Watched a John Hughes movie more than once
- Debated who was more attractive - AC or Zac? Lisa or Kelly?
- Disliked young Republicans….except Alex Keaton
- Had a feathered haircut
- Argued about whether New Kids on the Block were cool

What's with the name "Iron Horse Democrats"?
There is a bike path that runs north/south through the center Contra Costa County. It goes all the way from Concord to Dublin. The trail runs over what used to be a Southern Pacific right of way. The Iron Horse Trail is at the heart of a fantastic trail system that connects all of the communities in our part of the East Bay. More info on the Iron Horse Trail can be found here:
